12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

Quote from the book

Rule #1 - Stand up straight with your shoulders back

So, attend carefully to your posture. Quit drooping and hunching around. Speak your mind. Put your desires forward, as if you had a right to them—at least the same right as others - Jordan Peterson

Delayed Project

We're well underway with the testing of the big project that I mentioned in my previous post, it was progressing well then suddenly priorities have changed. I needed to start testing another piece of work. This meant the big project has been delayed but I get extra people to aid in testing, woo!

Today, we continued testing the big project with bright optimism on getting this out as soon as the team is happy. However, it wasn't sunshine and rainbows as there were multiple server issues with the server running out of memory, suddenly things started slowing down when there were no processes in the background, multiple people accessing the testing environment causing a slowdown, and the wi-fi was working intermittently to name a few.

In this post, I talked about writing logs down on what has delayed the project so I can discuss this with the team. Near the end of the day, I updated the team with the status of the testing, what's been happening, and how we can get this done by the end of the sprint.

Looking forward to the Krispy Kreme donuts when this gets released.

Happy Testing!

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I came across this in my search for something regarding this.|
